Art with a Mission

Based in Kigali, Rwanda, and founded by a group of artists, the focus of Art with a Mission is to use art – whether painting, dance, ceramics or culinary – to promote sustainable livelihoods and encourage education. The projects celebrate the rich diversity and natural heritage of Rwanda, and cultivate skills and pride in young people who participate in the formal programmes. They work hand in hand with Inema Arts Center and the Choose Kigali art gallery to provide mentors in art as a skill, a talent, an occupation and a survival skill. Founded by Emmanuel Nkuranga, a self-taught painter and a mixed-media expressionist.
