Agnes Waruguru (born 1994, Nairobi, Kenya) is a contemporary artist who received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, in 2017. She has participated in several international residencies, including the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam, ArtSpace Sydney, the Saba Artists Residency in Lamu, and the VideoBrasil Biennial Artists Residency in Boicucanga, Brazil. Waruguru also participated in the inaugural edition of the Stellenbosch Triennale in South Africa in 2020. In 2022, she was nominated for the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunst Prijs at the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam. Her international presence has continued through participation in the 22nd Edition of the Videobrasil Biennial in São Paulo and the 60th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, titled Foreigners Everywhere.
